MAIDEN IN DISTRESS!!!!!

I'm going to start off with a little story  . . . . .

 

Once upon a time a fair maiden stumbled upon a fantastical blog called Vintage Revivals. She oohed and awed, taking in all of its magical beauty. All the while wondering who could be the magnificent princess responsible for such wondrous things. Then low and behold the maiden discovered that the princess lived in her village. Well, the maiden was ecstatic and went right out to her local thrift store to seek out the princess, but to no avail. After many journeys to the thrift store the maiden spotted the princess sifting through some undiscovered treasures. Now, the maiden is very shy and the sight of the beautiful princess intimidated her. She somehow mustered up enough courage to say "hello" and tell the princess how much she admired her. The princess was so kind and thanked her for the compliment. They then parted ways and as the maiden left she thought "If only I could create something spectacular that would be amaze the princess, then maybe, just maybe they could become BBFF's {best blogger friends forever}." A maiden can dream can't she? Then one day while she was drooling over one of the princess' latest projects she stumbled across the most amazing giveaway EVER! "Win an epic room makeover and get to spend a week with the princess herself." Then there was a loud THUMP . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  the maiden awoke after passing out from excitement {and recharging her trusty camera} and scoured her home deciding on the most deserving room. Would it be the . . . .

 

I have SO many thoughts for this room. A few being an upholstered headboard, a sunburst mirror over the bed {which I already own}, of course new paint and the prying question, "what to do with all that fabric". Oh and I would just DIE for a a VR style rug. All of which would be even more amazing if princess Mandi herself was personally here to oversee.

Lovin my comforter and drapery panels {yes I know part of it is hanging off and missing the center panel} I'm just having a hard time pulling everything together. Maybe some faux taxidermy or some large silhouette's over the bed. And again of course a VR style rug would be amaz-a-zing!!

. . . .along with the lampshades I might add.

Now this baby is freaking amazing . . . . obviously it needs a little TLC but the options are never ending. You can't tell in the picture but all the middle panels are removable. Yes, you heard me right. Removable!!!! Can you say mirrored or upholstered or wallpapered etc. etc. etc . . .  I know, I hyperventilated when I saw it. This little gem definitely need a Vintage Revival's makeover. 

 

NOW . . . NO JUDGING

This may look a little scary to some but I know that princess Mandi would love to rummage through this stockpile of goodness. There is a pair of Mid-century-esq chairs hidden in there waiting to be reupholstered along with 10 boxes of hardwood flooring that needs a home.

         And now the Maiden waits with baited breath to see how the story will unfold . . . . . . . . . .
